oh, and Happy Easter from the Easter B-… errrrrrr… bear.
First, the happy outcomes from our session:
Then, the deterioration, in chronological order:
I’ll leave you with this final frame. If this doesn’t break your heart, what will?
(Don’t worry, lots of cuddles ensued!)
Our first morning. Amory chills on the picnic table in front of our ‘campa’.
Amory and mom at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds – the birthplace of New Zealand!
Cruising in the Bay of Islands – on the boat, Oliver eats lunch while walking Amory to sleep!, and ‘oyster catchers’ in action.
Amory’s first swim in the thermal pools at Matamata. He rocked his floaty surf suit – pruny feet and all!
Our visit to Hobbiton – the only remaining bit of the Lord of the Rings on-location set. Bag-End, the Party (“Patty”) Tree, Amory in the Shire’s Rest cafe and local sheep.
Amory takes in sunset at Lake Rotorua.
Amory and dad enjoying the ‘Maori experience’ at Rotorua’s Te Puia, and the three of us in Waitomo’s Glow-worm cave.
This video was taken last weekend. It’s short, and the best part is the SOUND (followed closely by the part where Amory gets a giraffe foot in his eye, and his own punctuating sound effect at the end). Turn up the volume to fully appreciate!!!!!
We’re now all caught up – next pics to come? NEW ZEALAND!
Rice cereal! – on February 17th.
Amory has since graduated to banana, butternut squash, oatmeal, sweet potato, avocado and apple. Tonight is broccoli. We’ll see how that goes!
