in this fall’s edition of Today’s Parent Pregnancy…
(and no, still no news!)

Yet another trip out to spend $$ on the unborn. I swear though, NOW we have EVERYTHING. Right?
Anyhow, I spent far more on the pedicure that I indulged in just down the road from the ‘everything for babies’ store than I did on the car window shade for baby – ironic since I can’t see my toes. Perhaps I can rationalize that baby needs to see nice toes when he pops out.
The gelato, however, provided nutrients for both of us. Wow, Hollywood’s is good – key lime pie and cookies ‘n cream! Yum.

UPDATED! With the rug in place…

Here it is in all it’s colourful glory. Just missing the rug – which looks like grass – and should arrive any day now. Just like baby!
I did the ceiling myself, and in a moment of domestic glory, I made the crib skirt. Check out that RUFFLE! It’s my first ruffle. *glow*
Note the bicycle bell on the crib – we are planning to train him to ding for assistance rather than cry. Bets on how well that will work?
And the mosquito net is designed to keep cats out, not mosquitoes! Although it will come in quite handy for ‘bug’ season too. :O)

Okay, so you can only really see two of us. But thanks Lisa for taking these wonderful photos of Oliver and me on the August long weekend – usually in these ‘maternity’ shots Oliver is stuck on the other side of the camera. But he makes a pretty striking presence on the other side, doesn’t he. If he takes after pop, this baby boy is going to be GOOD-LOOKING! :O)

Thanks everyone for coming and for all the wonderful gifts! And a very special thanks to the lovely and talented hostesses and food makers – everything was perfect. And another special thank you to those of you who trekked in from far out of town! (and thanks Nimali for the photos!)
Top left: with the Grandmas-to-be!
Top right: with Sarah, Annalise and Bam-Bam! :O)
